Raising a family was hard enough. Then, #2020.

I’m a nationally-known and experienced pediatrician who’s passionate about connecting with families “between the check-ups.” I offer evidence-based child health and parenting goodness that’s sprinkled with experience and common sense. I want to help you parent smart and parent confident, every day of the year.

Currently, I work full-time in a suburban private practice in Overland Park, KS, while raising two kids of my own. My first book, Managing Childhood Anxiety (For Dummies), will be published by Wiley in the fall of 2025.

If you can’t find me in the office, it’s likely because I’m also doing work as a Spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics, working with Brands I love as an influencer, sharing my thoughts with the media, or partnering with other leaders who are making our world better for kids.

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. I make no promises on the frequency of posts or lack thereof. Because life.

The fine print.

Everything I post is for general information only. I’m not your child’s doc, so my posts and comments do not reflect personal medical advice. Talk with your child’s doctor for recommendations specific to the needs of your unique family. If you find something to be a glaring error, please let me know. And if you disagree with my opinions expressed, feel free to politely comment or unsubscribe.

Thank you.

Thanks for checking out my work and your interest in child health. It takes all of us to raise the future, and I’m glad that you are here.
